Indicative average supply lead time

This information is important to take into account when purchasing a product that is out of stock, or purchasing a quantity greater than that in stock.
We mainly work directly with the factories, which each have their own operation and production method, more or less fast. It is difficult for us to commit to precise lead times. The indicative average lead time is displayed on the product page in the "Procurement" section.

Example:
Indicative average supply time: 22 days

How is this data calculated?
The indicative average lead time is based on our procurement experience. For each supplier order, we record the date on which the order is confirmed with the supplier and the date on which we receive the order (item by item to also be able to take into account partial arrivals), then we calculate the time between these two dates. We then calculate an average based on the time of X order (for example over 6 months back) and it is this data that we display online. For items that have not yet been supplied or for which the last supplies are older than the supply lead time limit taken into account in the history, we publish the indicative average lead time of the supplier (based on the average of all indicative average supply times for the related products.

Weak point of the method
This method of calculation is not ideal, we are aware of it, we have not yet found a more precise, more reliable method. We therefore make every effort to store the products with us in order to avoid you being confronted with a supply delay often of several weeks. In certain cases, for example when you order a product out of stock and it is not indicated "In progress" on the site at the time of your order, it is not because you order this product that we will immediately place the order with the supplier. Indeed with some suppliers we have to wait until we have a certain level of demand to be able to start a supply. It is therefore possible that several days (or more rarely several weeks) pass between the day of your order and the day of the launch of the supply from the supplier, and the indicative average supply time does not take this time into account.

Recurring question: " I ordered several days ago, the supply of the article is in progress but the indicative average supply time does not change, why? "
This data is not a count of the time remaining for the arrival of the product to us. This is statistical data potentially updated for a product on each receipt from the supplier of the product. On each receipt, the data for each product attached to a supplier are recalculated and the indicative average supply time is updated on the site.

Next reception at TLHP estimated between ... and ...

This information is an estimate, it is not a guaranteed date, it is displayed when the item is on order with the supplier and the supplier has communicated a delivery date to us.
When this information is displayed on the product page, the estimated date is the next receipt.
When this information is displayed in the basket or in the order confirmation email, the estimated date corresponds to the next receipt which makes it possible to cover the non-stock quantity ordered.
