  • Mundorf's BS series uses a solid 99.99% OFC copper round conductor stabilized by varnish, wrapped around a rod-shaped iron-silicon alloy core. Each end of the stick is fitted with a hole for attachment.

This series of coils is particularly suitable for subwoofer filtering when looking for a good size / inductance ratio, a low DRC and an affordable price. The BS series, completely redesigned in 2010, replaced the famous Mundorf i and Bi series.

Regarding the manufacturing process, once the coil is wound, it is heated by means of an electric pulse melting the layer of varnish. When cooling, the individual windings are firmly bound together by the baked varnish and are thus prevented from vibrating and the original signal remains intact.
