The 21NLW9600 is a 21 inch neodymium high performance transducer. The transducer is suitable for high loading, ultra-low frequency horn loaded or bandpass subwoofer designs. For optimum results recommended amplifier should be able to deliver 3600 Watt program power without clipping. Eighteen Sound engineers have obtained the best possible results with today's available materials in terms of clean and undistorted LF reproduction at a ultra high SPL, with the lowest possible power compression figure. The transducer design features include a large displacement suspension system specifically designed for matching the carbon fiber reinforced, straight ribbed cone. The state-of-the-art 135 mm (5,3 in) ISV inside outside copper voice coil enables the 21NLW9600 to handle 3600 W program power value. Thanks to the Triple Silicon Spider (TSS) technology, the 21NLW9600 is able to control the moving mass with high linearity, showing an exceptional stability of mechanical parameter values in the long term. Bl force factor as well as all electro-dynamic parameters of 21NLW9600 are linear within the working range. This, together with the high excursion behavior - 70 mm before damage, ±14 mm linear Xmax - makes the 21NLW9600 an extremely low distortion, highly dynamic transducer. The 21NLW9600 has been developed after intense FEA and fluido-dynamics simulation and testing, focusing on dissipating the heat generated by the powerful 5.3" coil. Special attention was given to the optimization of air flow into the gap without introducing audible noise. A special low density material air diffractor placed into the backplate acts as a cooling system, increasing the power handling capability and lowering the power compression figure. Weight reduction was a key development aspect of the 21NLW9600, resulting in a net value of 14kg (30,9lb). The exclusive cone treatment improves pulp strength and gives water repellent properties to both sides of the straight ribbed cone. A special coating applied to both the top and back plates makes the transducer far more resistant to the corrosive effects of salts and oxidization.

The 12NW530 low frequency neodymium transducer has been specifically developed for high power, low distortion, very compact subwoofer applications. The transducer finds its main application on compact vented subwoofers as small as 40 liters. The neodymium magnet assembly developed by Eighteen Sound engineers assures high flux concentration, low power compression and excellent heat exchange, since the external magnet configuration is considerably more efficient than traditional under-pole magnet topology. This results in high levels of force factor and power handling with an optimum power to weight ratio. A state-of-the-art Interleaved Sandwich Voice coil (ISV) copper wire voice coil provides high levels of thermal stability and durability. The transducer incorporates Eighteen Sound DSS technology (Double Silicon Spider), in combination with a single roll highly damped surround, that has been designed to provide symmetric large signal behaviour throughout the whole working range, providing low harmonic distortion at different excitation levels. The already low distortion and sound quality are further improved by properly positioned Single Demodulating Ring (SDR), that flattens impedance and phase curves helping a constant power transfer from the amplifier. The deep profile curvilinear cone, created from a special high strength wood pulp, has been designed to achieve the best possible linearity. The humidity repellent cone treatment significantly dampens bell mode resonances. The 8MB400 mid-bass transducer has been developed in response to a specific market requirement for a 200 mm (8 in) midbass driver which combines excellent linearity with good efficiency and power handling capabilities. It is primarily intended for use as a midbass driver in compact 2-way reflex enclosures with a 1 inch compression driver or tweeter but as a result of its versatile characteristics, it can also be used in multiway systems. The curvilinear, treated paper cone is formed using a unique wood pulp composition designed to achieve the best possible rigidity and stiffness. This is carried by a polycotton multiroll surround to provide increased excursion whilst controlling break up modes. The 50 mm (2 inch) aluminum wire voice coil employs same Interleaved Sandwich Voice coil (ISV) technology. It is composed of a high strength fiberglas former carrying windings on both the outer and inner surfaces to achieve a mass balanced coil. This results in an extremely linear motor assembly which, in conjunction with the highly advanced design of the magnetic structure, provides a high force factor or BL. The voice coil is cooled by incorporating airways between the chassis back plate and the magnetic top plate to channel heated air away from the voice coil and gap and dissipate it. In-house FEA CAD facilities have been used to optimise flux density and BL factor within the air gap. Due to the increasing use of sound systems at outdoor events, the 8MB400 ability to perform in humid environments is a key feature. This has been achieved using an exclusive cone treatment which renders the cone resistant to humidity.

The speaker has been derived from our flagship 18LW1400, after in-depth studies on magnetic circuit design, which focused on dissipating the heat generated by the powerful 4" coil. The loudspeaker design provides clean and undistorted LF reproduction at a very high SPL and enables the speaker to withstand high power levels without damage. The neo magnet assembly assures high flux concentration, low power compression and excellent heat exchange. The external magnet configuration is considerably more efficient than traditional under-pole magnet topology. This results in high levels of force factor and power handling with an optimum power to weight ratio. The heatsink has been specifically studied using F.E.A. simulators and the necessary heat transfer to the dissipative structure has been improved. Extensive care has been taken in order to symmetries both mechanical and electromagnetic non linear behaviour. The transducer has been designed to cover the low frequency band in vented, bandpass and horn loaded configurations: the application range moves from studio monitors up to cinema subwoofers as well as professional sound reinforcing systems, where deep low frequencies are required. It can be used in enclosures from 90 liters in size upwards, with tuning frequencies of about 33Hz. The neodymium magnet assembly assures high flux concentration, low power compression and excellent heat exchange, since the external magnet configuration is considerably more efficient than traditional under-pole magnet topology. This results in high levels of force factor and power handling with an optimum power to weight ratio. The transducer incorporates Eighteen Sound exclusive DSS technology (Double Silicon Spider) in combination with a single roll highly damped rubber surround. The already low distortion and sound quality are further improved by properly positioned Single Demodulating Ring (SDR technology) that flatten impedance and phase with a constant power transfer. The 75mm edge-wound state-of-the-art voice coil assembly is wound on a strong fiberglas former to improve force transmission and power handling. The deep profile curvilinear cone, created from a special high strength wood pulp, has been designed to achieve the best possible linearity within its frequency range. The in-house developed cone treatment is a humidity repellent and significantly dampens bell mode resonances. A special coating applied to both the top and back plates makes the 15NW530 far more resistant to the corrosive effects of salts and oxidization.
