When first hooked up and tried, it made lots of humming noise (PA sytem-like noise). Not until I clamped down on it with BOTH the L-pad and 3rd order x-over did most of it go away. Maybe because it's not broke in yet. It plays crystal clear and without fault. Clear as any driver I have. But you have to tighten up your control of it.
Presently, I am using a 3rd order x-over a healthy L-pad and only a small bit of sound. At first I used a sloppy 4th order with LOTS of resistors to get it under control. Only a conventional resistor network now.
Using it behind a FaitalPro horn.
Well-made. Clear as a bell, accurate and doesn't back down.
Due to the initial noise, I'd like to knock it down a star, but I really enjoy its clarity and presentation.
