Versatile speaker for fullrange duty. The build quality is great and it has foam pre-applied on both sides, so there's no need of an extra gasket. I used a single one in a portable speaker and used a parallel notch filter (1mH - 8.2 ohm - 1 uF) to lower the mid frequencies and get a more balanced sound. Tuned to around 70Hz in a 5L bass reflex box it has good enough bass, not very deep but that's expected from a fullrange. The treble is also quite good, the rising response on asxis counters the narrowing of the dispersion, so it's enjoyable off-axis as well.

Keep in mind that the datasheet has recently changed, Fs and Qts are bot higher on LaVoce website. I think this is due to a stiffer suspension compared to earlier production batches. I also measured a higher Fs and Qts in my unit, although prior to break in.

Overall i am satisfied with this product, it's perfect as an all-rounder for simple projects even if it's been created with pro audio applications in mind.
