I have purchased these for use behind horns/waveguides. Their bigger brothers, the titanium dome versions do sound better so there's no reason for me not to seek alternative building configurations. Seems like the titanium drivers didn't like horns anyway so things worked out.

No major road-blocks. Very straight-forward "Visaton" sound, if the 'lack thereof' can be considered a sound. Solidly built and consistent. Easy to work with and plays everything I threw at it.

If I had to compare to different brand, maybe Eton? Although Eton can have a sound here-n-there, their clarity, quietness and distinctness traits are similar (German). Sound is so "subjective".
