TLHP APOLLON Sound System

Meet the God of Music!

The APOLLON-V is the first flat pack professional sound system in the world. It has been designed by TLHP in France, in Vern sur Seiche a small city in the south of Rennes in Brittany. It is a 5-way full horn sound system dedicated to sound broadcasting during outdoor events such as :

  • Live condert
  • Dub Arena
  • Music festival
  • Stadium event
  • Battle Techno
  • Rave Party...

The APOLLON adventure began in 2015 with a crazy idea: Develop a Sound System in flat pack kit.

The idea is to propose a product delivered in kit, to mount itself, in order to propose a price of sale the most affordable possible and to allow each one to apply the finish which it wishes, but also to take pleasure to make the mounting, understand how it works and the constraints of building a professional-level electro-acoustic system.

In March 2016, after more than a year of development the first version comes out: APOLLON-IV. The first performance took place in April 2016 on the occasion of the support evening at CLAPS Local INSA Rennes, with an APOLLON-IV a little special at that time composed of six bass H221, three "mid-kick" TT-112 and two HF units TT-HF, all without special correction.

In 2016 summer, the RCF H6040 horn has been no stopped in the product, then the TT-HF unit was stopped. A new HF boxe head has been developed: TT-HF-V2. It is equipped with speakers FaitalPRO (HF2000 / FD371) and a B&C Speakers horn (ME60), the highlights of this new version: :

  • - Globally more efficient
  • - Lighter and less bulky
  • - Same price as the 1st version
  • - Aluminium horn
  • - Coupling optimized tweeters

What's changing for the cabinet :

  • - Rear hatch removed because access from the front sufficient
  • - 18 mm birh plywood replaced by 15 mm thick

In early 2018 the need arises to complete the system with a fifth channel, between the H221 and the TT-112, to make the system more versatile. It needed a strong and consistent high / low path. The SUPERKICK-215 est born. This is a hybrid load equipped with two high-output 15-inch speakers. This resulted in the release of a new version of the system APOLLON-V .

Today there are two versions of the system :

A little history

Apollo is a God of Greek origin during the ancient period, he is the God of song, music, masculine beauty, poetry, purifications and healing. Apollo's father is Zeus, his mother is Leto, his sister Artemis and his uncle is Poseidon.
Apollo is honored by the Romans who adopted him for his healing powers, he erected temples in his honor. Apollo becomes in the Middle Ages then in modern times a solar god, patron of music and arts.

"IV" corresponds to the 4 channels of the APOLLON-IV system (low, mid, high and high treble), and "V2" for version 2

"V" corresponds to the 5 channels of the APOLLON-V system (sub, low, medium, high and high).
