The XR1064 is a constant directivity horn with a throat entry of 1 inch. The XR1064 has been developed to reach the optimum performance when it will coupled with one inch exit Eighteen Sound high frequency compression drivers. All XR horn series have been designed in order to reach smooth driver frequency response, while maintaining constant coverage and directivity and eliminating the midrange narrowing and high frequency beaming problems common of many similar horns on the market. XR series horns are made in low pressure injected aluminum material in order to obtain the best performance under many point of view: - thermal: aluminum horns are capable to reduce up to 30°C the steady state compression driver working temperature at full power, when compared to equivalent size plastic horn. This gives lower power compression ratio (down to 1 dB) and higher driver power handling (up to 30% higher); - mechanical: no need for compression driver support (like brackets), and at the same time eliminate the problem of horn resonance with optimum waterfall and impulse system behavior. The XR1064 shows nominal 60° Horizontal x 40° Vertical pattern control, providing consistent on-axis and off-axis frequency response from 1.6kHz to 16kHz in both horizontal and vertical planes. Horn directivity is constant down to 1.6kHz.

The XR1464 is a 1.4 inch throat entry constant directivity horn. The horn has been developed to reach optimum performances when it will coupled with 1.4 inch exit Eighteen Sound high frequency compression drivers. All XR series horns have been designed in order to reach smooth driver frequency response, to maintain constant coverage and directivity and eliminating the midrange narrowing and high frequency beaming problems common of many similar horns on the market. The XR1496 has been designed in order to obtain a smooth frequency response maintaining constant coverage and directivity pattern, and avoiding the midrange narrowing effect as well as high frequency beaming problems. With a throat entry of 1.4 inch, the XR1496 has been developed to reach the optimum performance when it will coupled with 1.4 inch exit Eighteen Sound high frequency compression drivers. The low pressure injected aluminum construction brings the following advantages: - thermal: aluminum horns are capable to reduce up to 30°C the steady state compression driver working temperature at full power, when compared to an equivalent size plastic horn. This reflects in a lower power compression ratio (down to 1dB) as well as higher driver power handling (30% higher); - mechanical: no need for any mechanical support for the compression driver (like brackets), avoiding the issue of horn resonance with optimum waterfall and impulse system behavior. The XR1496 maintains nominal 90° Horizontal x 60° Vertical pattern control, providing consistent on-axis and off-axis frequency response from 1,2kHz to 16kHz in both horizontal and vertical planes. The HD2080T 2-inch exit high frequency compression driver has been designed for use in high quality installed audio systems, where weight is not the key issue. The motor structure, throughout the precisely coherent phase plug with 3 circumferential slots and copper ring on the pole piece, reduces inductance effects and distortion. Four top plate air ducts have been designed to act as a loading chamber for the diaphragm, implementing mid band distortion and response figures. The HD2080T diaphragm assembly is composed of a titanium dome sandwiched to a proprietary treated polyester suspension unit. It has been designed to maintain low resonance, lowering the minimum crossover point value at 1,2kHz. Thanks to its physical properties, the proprietary treated Nomex former has a 30% higher value of tensile elongation at a working operative temperature (200°C) when compared to Kapton. This feature enables proper energy transfer control from the voice coil to the dome in real working conditions. Moreover, this proprietary former material is also suitable to for use in higher moisture content environments. The HD2080T powerful ceramic magnet assembly has been designed to obtain 16KGauss in the gap. Excellent heat dissipation and thermal exchange are guaranteed by the direct contact between the magnetic structure and the aluminum cover which leads to a lower power compression value.
