Diaphragm replacement on FaitalPRO HF2000-8
The compression driver is equipped with a 3.0 inch voice coil which has 90 watts power handling, then it is a very strong driver. But sometimes the limit can be reached and the driver may comes out of order.

The driver is out of order...
It has an electrical discontinuity when we measure the voice coil resistance.

1°) Unscrew the four screws of the back cover
Be careful to identify the direction of installation of the back cover (on the photo the terminal + is on the right of the label)

2°) Removing the back cover
Be careful to identify the direction of installation of the diaphragm (on the photo the terminal block + is on the right, the terminal block - is on the left)

3°) Removal of the diaphragm
With delicacy !

4°) The diaphragm is equipped with nipples
This allows a quick and precise mounting.

5°) The replacement diaphragm
This diaphragm reference is also provided to repair others driver models (equipped with 3.0 inch voice coil), and it is .

6°) Install the new diaphragm
Gently lay the new diaphragm in place of the old one.

7°) Install and screw the back cover
Screw in gradually, screw face to face without tightening, then tighten sufficiently so that the screws do not vibrate but not too much not to break parts.
Check the coil electrically, it must have a DC resistance of the order of 10 ohm.
