Hi, what is the difference between manufactor sensitivity and calculated sensitivity? Thanks Greetings Douwe [email protected] Question posted by DD

For loudspeakers for which the manufacturers provide Fs, Qes and Vas, on the product page are displayed the calculated efficiency and the calculated sensitivity. This makes it possible to search / compare loudspeakers following opposable criteria.
Here are the details of the methods used to make these calculations:

Efficiency = 9.6*10^-10*((Fs^3*Vas)/Qes) ---> with Fs in Hz and Vas in L.

Sensitivity = 10*log10(output/(2*pi*10^-12)) ---> 1W in a half sphere, at 1m, with 10^-12 W/m² the sensitivity threshold of the human ear.
