Mundorf ECap

Bipolar electrolytic capacitors such as the ECap series have a second aluminum foil providing AC voltage resistance and thus making them suitable for music signals. The "plain" series is made from unengraved sheets and therefore at low loss. The "raw" series has sheets whose surfaces have been roughened and therefore enlarged by means of a special engraving process, which allows greater capacities to be achieved at a reduced cost.
