For the very first time, the MCap® SUPREME Classic Silver.Oil successfully combined the advantages of metallized polypropylene film capacitors with the advantages of oil-impregnated capacitors and the multi-faceted details of silver conductors in 2002.

Thanks to its oil impregnation, the MCap® SUPREME EVO Oil condenser offers even higher dynamics than the MCap® SUPREME EVO.

The MCap® EVO was designed in 2012 to replace the RXF series, it is made of a metallized polypropylene film with a thick layer of aluminum, then wound with precision according to the innovative winding geometry EVOLUTION, and finally potted by hand in special cases.

Bipolar electrolytic capacitors such as the ECap series have a second aluminum foil providing AC voltage resistance and thus making them suitable for music signals. The "raw" series has sheets whose surfaces have been roughened and therefore enlarged by means of a special engraving process.

The MCap® Classic series has been the entry-level Mundorf audio film capacitor since 1990. By avoiding an additional housing, the simple printing method and classic longitudinal structure create a compact and economical MKP capacitor. The dielectric is in aluminum metallized polypropylene.

The use of this combination of conductive materials can be condensed into this simple formula: 99% silver + 1% gold = 100% music. The MCap EVO SilverGold.Oil was developed in 2012 to specifically create the powerful and finely nuanced acoustic colors typical of SilverGold in as compact and economical a format as possible. The large capacities thus created also allow efficient use in high quality midrange applications.

The MCap® SUPREME EVO was developed in 2015. It combines two winding technologies (EVOLUTION and SUPREME) assembled in an aluminum tube to minimize microphony. The asymmetrical threads allow it to be assembled in a classic style, horizontal or vertical; the shorter wire also indicates the outer foil of the capacitor. When tuned, this capacitor provides rich detail, explosive dynamics and extremely low distortion.
