Mundorf BL100 air core coil, 0.82mH ±2%, 0.44ohm, 1.00mm OFC-copper wire, Ø40xH20mm, with backed varnish wire

The BL series from Mundorf uses the same coils as the L series but with the addition of a stabilization varnish considerably reducing electromagnetically induced vibrations. If your passive filter concerns a high-end speaker, the choice of a BL coil instead of an L coil is a relevant choice because it directly impacts the listening quality.

Mundorf's L series uses a 99.99% solid OFC round copper conductor, specially developed for high quality filtering. The winding stand is made of glass fiber reinforced plastic. The L-series coil is the standard for quality passive filtering.

The Mundorf T-series uses a round 99.99% OFC solid copper conductor, wrapped around a glass-fiber reinforced plastic backing, which is placed on an iron-silicon alloy structure to enhance the magnetic field. The T series is particularly suitable for filtering woofers in a precise and powerful way.

OFC copper tape coil 99.997%, 70µ thickness, insulated with a sheet of 30µ paper (Abacá Esparto) impreganted with a viscoplastic insulating resin. It is obtained a high mechanical damping of vibrations, almost without microphonic effect, even without housing. Extremely calm acoustic model and the finest micro-dynamics. This series makes it possible to move upmarket compared to the famous CFC series from Mundorf.

Mundorf P140 ferrite pipe core coil, 1mH ±3%, 0.18ohm, 1.40mm OFC-copper wire, Ø45xH30mm

Mundorf's P series is halfway between the L and H series, with a ferrite core (or aronit for larger models) to find a compromise between low internal resistance, small footprint and price. Ideal in car-audio or sound system.
