I use this Beyma woofer in a high-efficiency 3-way-speaker project. The cabinet was already existent and is slightly too large for this woofer at 25 liters. Nonetheless, because I wanted a woofer that has very low mechanical losses (QMS of 14,3 is excellent) and a low Qts (0,31) for a clean and tight presentation, I settled for this woofer. Since it is somewhere inbetween PA and home hifi, it isn't as "soft" as a classic home application 8 inch woofer. It therefore needs only small air volumes, but also does not go very low, which was perfectly acceptable for me.

My cabinet is vented with a 10 cm diameter port tube with a length of 15 cm. In this cabinet, the Beyma produces a very clean, detailed and punchy bass. Note that I drive it with a 2x15W tube amp, so I cannot say anything about the power handling. Yet, it should be plenty as Beyma knows what they're doing, so you can trust the numbers. The Beyma fares very well in this application, so I can recommend it if you are not after very low bass, but rather want to have a tight and detailed upper bass performance from small ported cabinets.
