This driver and its smaller 6" brother I have determined to be the most industrious and capable coned drivers I have, especially for the money spent on them. They do everything they claim to do. This 10" driver reaches down to almost the deepest of bass extension. Simply turning volume up a little more extracts the remaining bass as long as others around you don't mind. I feel the upper limits to this driver depends on the other drivers you're pairing it with. I have gone straight to a CD/horn without problems but I still prefer an intermediate driver between the two such as a 4"-6". I haven't tried this driver and its brother (6") at same time, but I will. I suspect together they will kill the bass and totally rule. Unfortunately, a CD/horn will be required at this point to keep up. I think the inverted dustcaps such as these have are the only option to extracting smooth bass. I am sure they lower the usable upper extension. But that is what "other" drivers are for. I just wish FaitalPro would offer larger versions of this driver WITH the inverted dustcaps. I think this is their best line for use in hi-fi. Reasonably priced to top things off.
