This is a real solid driver, both physically and soundwise. It is super clear and 'follows/adheres' to the sounds very well with clarity that only the better hi-fi domes can do. It does require that you experiment with the x-over a little but not very much. No more than your normal horn would require. Maybe you will get lucky like I have a few times and only require a simple 2nd/3rd order filter. I've been using a FaitalPro horn (LTH102) with it. I see no reason to believe it wouldn't do well with other horns such as 18 Sound's own elliptical horn.
