Very similar to PR17OMO but aluminium voice coil former instead of Kapton and slightly smaller magnet. The Alu coil make it sound a bit more ”soft”
In the upper mid but i prefer this version. Little less sensitivity also. Also called in the 90’s ”MHD303 when infirst bought it. Switched between this and OMO and PHL 1120 many times and even though on paper the PHL and OMO is better i still regard this as one of the nest mids oit there if treated right. You can cross is it as low as 250-300hz for home use.

One thing is for sure, you never get a more ”open mid with clarity” than this at home. A hifi driver like Satori MW16P sounds almost muted next to this speedmonster.

By the way ACC who now make Audax driver have great quality and quality control. I personally think even better than when Audax made them. This is my 10th par ACC/ Audax drivers.
