Mundorf TPCU OFC copper terminals are designed to meet the highest demands for mechanical precision, acoustic performance and aesthetics. Made in Germany from solid, our TPCU series combines maximum conductor cross section with lowest transfer resistances. Thus, they unite tonal clarity, beauty and stereophonic space with harmonious warmth and splendid luminosity.
Pure copper models (TPCU670C, TPCU670E, TPCU750E, TPCU870C and TPCU870E) should be cleaned periodically with copper polish or a mixture of vinegar and water to prevent oxidation. The gold-plated models TPCU670GC, TPCU670GE, TPCU750GE, TPCU870GC and TPCU870GE do not require any particular maintenance because the copper is protected by the treatment.
Each terminal block includes two nuts, a washer and a spring washer for secure mounting. The standard insulation material additionally serves as rotation protection and polarity marking.
Mundorf recommends mounting the TCPU terminals on a non-metallic support. In the case of mounting on a metal support, the terminals induce a charge via counter-rotating magnetic fields in the support which distorts the musical signal by absorbing the energy.
The more electric power is transmitted, the higher the inductance and therefore the loss of energy and fine detail (see diagram).
