The MCap EVO SilverGold.Oil was developed in 2012 to specifically create the powerful and finely nuanced acoustic colors typical of SilverGold in as compact and economical a format as possible. The large capacities thus created also allow efficient use in high quality midrange applications.

The self-healing polypropylene capacitor film is impregnated with oil after the EVOLUTION winding process and potted by hand in special cases. Any impact on the audio signal caused by the microphone is practically excluded. The direct gold-plated unbalanced pure copper output conductors allow it to be assembled in a classic style, horizontal or vertical; the shorter wire also indicates the output foil of the capacitor.

Vacuum oil impregnation of metallized polypropylene film capacitors is a special specialty of Mundorf, the technique was first used with MCap® SUPREME Silver.Oil in 2002. In this process, even the smallest bubbles of oil air is forced out of the condenser winding and even the most spaces are filled with oil. Electrical and mechanical losses in the capacitor due to vibrations are thus reduced to a minimum.
