Vacuum oil impregnation of metallized polypropylene film capacitors is a special specialty of Mundorf, the technique was first used with MCap® SUPREME Silver.Oil in 2002. In this process, even the smallest bubbles of oil air is forced out of the condenser winding and even the most spaces are filled with oil. Electrical and mechanical losses in the capacitor due to vibrations are thus reduced to a minimum. Mundorf Oil Capacitors are characterized by their extremely sophisticated and highly dynamic details and are superior to their respective dry counterparts in presence, speed and precision.
